Campaigns
As well as organising volunteering projects, we also support our partners through fundraising campaigns, either to help them meet their ongoing costs or to provide funds for specific projects.
Supporting SCAD Nirman Trust
We are proud to work alongside SCAD Nirman to help the Tamil Nadu-based NGO continue its work among some of the most disadvantaged people in rural India.
In Tamil Nadu life can be hard: some 35 million people live on less than £1 per day and communities living in remote villages suffer from drought, poor soil in which to grow their crops and a lack of basic resources.
Children regularly suffer from malnutrition and acute, yet avoidable diseases. Indeed children are often the worst affected as their poor health will affect their access to education and their future chances of gaining qualifications or a skill and therefore a job to lift them out of the cycle of poverty.
The threat from Covid-19 continues to be ever-present in India, and there is a scarcity of medical supplies and equipment to help deal with the crisis.
Sponsor a child
A child has a higher chance of dying before the age of 5 in rural India than a child living in a city. It’s even higher if you’re a girl. £16 a month can help a child have a better, healthier future. Your support will provide an education and additional support to the village in which your chosen child lives.

Supporting SERVE
SERVE is a non-religious and non-political not-for-profit organisation working with and for children and their families, based on social work principles where they help those in need to help themselves without discrimination. SERVE has been AidCamps’ partner NGO in Sri Lanka for over 15 years.
Together our two organisations have helped thousands of women and children living, working and studying in harsh and challenging circumstances through our support for Home Away From Home Centres and for women’s development and empowerment programmes.
The situation faced by the communities SERVE supports has perhaps never been more challenging. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the work of day labourers disappeared and supported women’s groups have found it impossible to maintain the small businesses which they operate from their homes.
SHUMAS 'Tippy Tap' Handwashing Stations
We are urgently raising funds for SHUMAS, our partner of nearly 20 years, based in Cameroon. SHUMAS is a development and humanitarian NGO that works in the areas of women’s development, education, agriculture, food security and nutrition.
Over the past four years SHUMAS has also been supporting the growing number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North West region of Cameroon due to attacks by Boko Haram in the Far North and the incursion of rebels from the Central African Republic in the East which has led to hundreds of deaths and the wanton destruction of property. The ongoing Anglophone crisis in the North West and South West regions has made the situation even worse with the further displacement of 680,000 people internally and over 50,000 people crossing the border into neighbouring Nigeria.
More than 50% of those displaced – typically the most vulnerable – are living in the bush or forest areas and sheltering in makeshift accommodation made from the most basic of materials with poor hygiene and little or no protection from the coronavirus which is sweeping the country.
In order to support SHUMAS in its task, we are raising money to provide ‘Tippy Tap’ Handwashing Stations to help improve handwashing and hygiene across the area, and to offer some personal protective equipment for those who otherwise would be ill equipped to protect themselves from disease and the threat of Covid-19. Each Handwashing Station will also provide approximately 100 bars of soap and 300 facemasks, along with other items to help provide a clean and safe environment.
