Project: RCDP School Refurbishment

Overview

This is a two-week project based in the Chitwan district of Nepal. The project will take place at the Shree Bindeshwori Basic School, Ratnanagar-15, Madhavpur.

Currently the school offers classes from playgroup level to Grade 8 and there are 154 students enrolled at the school, many of whom benefit from the residential hostel facilities the school provides to boys and girls.

The project will address a number of issues where improvements are required. These include the construction of a purpose built maths lab; the repainting of a number of classrooms along with one of the hostels, and the repair of windows in a variety of buildings on the site. The provision of the additional classroom and the refurbishment of the buildings on the site will significantly improve the conditions under which the children live and study and will enhance their overall educational performance and wellbeing.

All our projects are subject to securing a minimum number of volunteers. The project will only go ahead if we secure eight volunteers by 11 May 2026. Registration fees are refundable if the project does not go ahead as set out in the terms and conditions for group projects.
